Perfect for two
ColdCase Party plays beautifully as a duo. With just two of you, every clue matters more, every theory lands with more weight, and the debate when you disagree is genuinely fun. Cases run 45–60 minutes — an ideal after-dinner activity or movie-night alternative.
How a date night case works
- One of you picks a case. Browse the case library together and pick a difficulty. Try the first objective free or unlock any case for $4.99.
- The other one joins. Share the 6-character room code or a direct link. Your partner clicks it on their phone, laptop, or tablet — they’re in instantly.
- Investigate together. You both see the same evidence desk. Read witness statements, examine forensics, pin theories on the shared board, and debate what it all means.
- Name the killer. Submit your verdict together. The game reveals whether you got it right and shows the full solution.
Occasion ideas
- At-home date instead of a film — 45–60 minutes of genuine interaction beats sitting in silence watching someone else’s story.
- Long-distance date over video call — the shared case desk gives you something real to do together. Open the game, start a call, and you have a proper date regardless of distance.
- Double date with another couple — four players, two teams of two, racing to solve the case first. Surprisingly competitive.
- A different kind of anniversary — skip the restaurant reservation and crack a case instead.
