Hollywood, 1962. The cameras were rolling on Sound Stage 7 when actor Rex Sterling took a bullet — a real one. During a scripted gunfight on the set of 'The Last Gunslinger,' the prop gun had been loaded with live ammunition instead of blanks. Forty-seven witnesses watched him fall, but nobody saw who made the switch. In Rex Sterling's trailer, police found threatening letters: typed, unsigned, and promising justice. Ten years earlier, Sterling had purchased a screenplay from a struggling writer named Vincent Marsh — and taken sole credit for it. When Marsh tried to fight back, Sterling had him blacklisted. Vincent Marsh died by suicide in 1958, leaving behind one daughter. Now someone on this production has infiltrated the crew under a false name, worked their way close to the prop cage, and waited for the perfect take. The script was stolen once. Now the ending has been rewritten in blood.
