How a ColdCase event runs
- Tell us about your event. Headcount, target date, and time zone. We reply within one business day with a plan and a single invoice.
- Your team splits into squads. Groups of 4–6 detectives each get a room code. Everyone joins from their own browser — laptop, phone, or tablet.
- Squads race the same case. Every squad investigates the same murder in parallel: examining evidence, cross-referencing alibis, and building their accusation.
- Compare verdicts at the debrief. Squads reveal their accusations and see who cracked it. The organizer gets a results recap to share afterward.
Team building that doesn't feel forced
Evidence drops in stages and different players notice different things. The quiet analyst catches the alibi inconsistency; the loud extrovert realizes they need everyone else's clues to solve it. Collaboration isn't requested — the game requires it.

Organizer questions, answered
How many people can play?
Each squad room holds up to 8 detectives, and hosted events run as many squads in parallel as you need — 50 players means about eight squads racing the same case. For groups larger than 50, tell us in the inquiry form and we'll plan it together.
Does anyone need to install anything?
No. ColdCase Party runs entirely in the browser on laptops, phones, and tablets. There's nothing for your IT team to approve and nothing that touches company devices.
How do remote teams talk during the game?
Squads use whatever your company already uses — a Zoom breakout, a Meet link, or a Teams call per squad. The game handles the evidence; your call handles the conversation.
Can we pay by invoice or PO?
Yes. Hosted events are billed on a single invoice, and we can work with your PO process and provide a W-9.
Is the content appropriate for work?
Yes. Every case is original fiction written for game nights — no real crimes, no graphic content. It plays like a detective novel, not a true-crime documentary.
How much prep does the organizer need to do?
Almost none. We brief you before the event, squads get their room codes at start time, and the game runs itself for 45–60 minutes.
